If it's quantity you want, this is the patch for you! The Petaluma Pumpkin Patch, which can be seen from Highway 101 (and causes traffic to slow down and marvel during October!), offers plenty of pumpkins you can choose from as you roam its 7-acre pumpkin field.  We marveled at the large field of nothing but pumpkins, wondering how we were going to choose from all the choices!  After quite a bit of time roaming the field and looking at the various sized pumpkins (wheelbarrows are provided so you can take home all the pumpkins you want with ease), we turned our attention to the gourds!

There are many varieties to choose from and each are clearly marked with their name and a few facts about the variety.  We found this extremely helpful, as at most patches the gourds are not labeled and you don't know exactly what you've brought home!

In addition to pumpkins and gourds, the patch offers winter squash, corn stalks, indian corn, and pumpkin carving kits.

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy at this patch.  Plan to spend about 45 minutes in their challenging A'Mazing Corn Maze. The maze encompasses four acres and has 10-foot tall corn stalks and only one way in and out!

The patch also offers a hay pyramid and farm animals, including turkeys, baby cows, horses, sheep, and piggies.  There is a picnic area and photo opportunities.

We really appreciated the helpful signs throughout the patch that tell you about the patch itself, the different varieties of pumpkins and gourds, and all the animals that the patch features.

This patch is a great place for kids to run around and play, and because it is fairly wide-open, you won't have trouble finding them when they scamper off!
