If you question whether the dirt lot of a farm stand can be attractive and Halloween-y, then you need to go to Hale’s Apple Farm in Sebastopol.

We were driving down Gravenstein Highway when we suddenly saw a beautiful display of hundreds of pumpkins, squash, and gourds in the lot of Hale's Apple Farm.

We immediately pulled over to walk the rows of pumpkins. The lot is not that big, but there are many varieties, shapes, and sizes to choose from. The way they are displayed in rows and mounds around hay adds to the beauty of the space. They have a few vignettes that are super cute, and they’ve utilized a tree limb to place pumpkins.

Being on Gravenstein Highway, which is fairly busy, the traffic sounds are a bit loud at times, but after a few minutes I barely noticed it.

The patch also offers sunflowers for sale, and, of course, apples, and delicious apple juice! The nice lady who helped us let us try just about every variety of apple they had for sale, with flavors ranging from sweet to tart, before we picked out the ones we wanted to purchase.

The lot is open seven days a week from 9 am-5 pm, so be sure to stop by!
