Adobe Pumpkin Farm
Reviewed 10/10/09 by Hauntmistress
Adobe Pumpkin Farm has turned on the charm this year with tons of pumpkins, super cute animals, a neat haunted house, and more!
Of course the first thing you notice at Adobe are the carving pumpkins sitting in their huge field spread nearly as far as the eye can see. If you like to select your pumpkin away from the crowds there's no doubt you can find a great one in the distant parts of this field.
The field is lined with super cute scarecrows standing guard and wooden animal cut-outs perfect for immortalizing the moment. The farm features a good variety of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes and a wheelbarrow for you to haul your pumpkins back to your car. Don’t forget to stop and smell the beautiful lavender colored flowers in the patch or take a stroll past the old-fashioned farm equipment on display.
There is a 6-acre corn maze to challenge your navigational skills (and a mini hay bale maze for the little ones) and shops to challenge your shopaholic skills. The gift barn has Halloween and harvest items for sale, such as decorations and jewelry, while another barn houses wares made by local artists and craftspeople, including birdhouses and mini glass pumpkins. Yet another barn houses a fruit market and has (shudder) Christmas items for sale.
Kids can take a ride on the ponies and everyone can enjoy watching the super cute mama and baby cow, two piggies, two bunnies, a horse, and other farm animals.
Spend $5 and take a tour through the haunted house where spooky props and sounds await you. There are a couple startles but overall it's very family friendly.
