Disneyland's
1000th Ghost Experience
As many of you know Disneyland's Haunted Mansion is home to "999
happy haunts... but there is always room for one more!" Now is your
chance to be that one more!
For the first time ever, a lucky member of the public will win the
opportunity to become a permanent part of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion
attraction. Disneyland is holding a charity auction via Ebay, the winner
of which, will have their own personalized "tombstone" placed in
the graveyard scene of the Haunted Mansion. The unique gravestone marker
will bear the winner's name and a humorous epitaph (inspired by the
winner's interests or hobbies) written and personalized by the team at
Walt Disney Imagineering.
The winner will also receive a miniature replica of the tombstone and a
certificate officially recognizing them as an "Honorary Happy Haunt
of the Haunted Mansion". The winner and a guest will be brought to
Disneyland for a "burial" ceremony on October 28th, 2004 where
the tombstone will be placed in the graveyard of the Haunted Mansion and
the winner will also be the ghost of honor for this year's return of the Haunted
Mansion Holiday.
100% of the proceeds of the auction will go to charity, benefiting the
Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim and the local Boys and Girls Club of the
winner.
