It’s that time again. October is coming to a close. It’s officially your last chance to have some weekend Halloween fun. Here are our Top Picks to help you do just that.

On Friday come out and enjoy the UC Choral Ensembles Halloween Show featuring performances by the UC Men’s Chorale, Women’s Chorale, and Men’s Octet at Cal in Berkeley!

Get ready for three nights of horrific fun and music at John Colins Halloween Freak Out weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Halloween) in San Francisco. The club turns into a haunted mansion and each night will be filled with creepy surprises and treats from top Bay Area DJs, ghastly good drink specials, and cash prizes for best costume.

Redux Lounge in Walnut Creek hosts Halloween parties on Friday, Saturday, and Halloween night. To enter the Lounge is to enter an asylum, complete with wicked DJs and costume contests.

If you’re in the Sacramento area on Friday or Saturday, The Haunted Fort at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park again serves as the gateway to the restless spirits of weary pioneers who return to tell the tales of their lives and melancholy deaths at this special family friendly event.

Friday through Sunday Peninsula Ballet Theatre in Redwood City is proud to present Bruce Steivel’s thrilling Dracula. Set to haunting music based on eastern European melodies intertwined with Strauss waltzes, this wildly theatrical and opulent ballet plays out the struggle of “Love over Death” with exciting drama and dancing for the entire cast.

The Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree at Fairyland on Saturday and Sunday in Oakland offers fun and games that are much more delightful than frightful! Come in costume and enjoy a spooktacular extravaganza with unlimited rides, parades, goody bags and treat stations, two jumpers (one for little kids and one for bigger kids), arts and crafts, pirate school, balloon twisting, costumed fairytale characters, and more!

All ages are invited to the USS Hornet Monster’s Ball in Alameda on Saturday. At this annual fundraiser onboard the “Grey Ghost,” visitors will get a good fright throughout the evening with haunted tours, costume contests, and other treats, like dance favorites by The Cocktail Monkeys!

On Saturday in San Carlos, join the Hiller Aviation Museum’s flying witch for a delightful day of flight and fright as the Museum hosts its Halloween Haunted Hangar. Explore the Museum’s Gallery if you dare to hunt for hidden haunts. Build a creepy craft and join the festivities at the Aerial Carnival. The day’s event ends in smashing style as the flying witch arrives by helicopter to drop her Halloween pumpkin at noon. Candy, prizes, and spooky surprises make the Halloween Hangar Haunt an extra-special occasion. Come in costume and add to the fun!

Grab your costume and have yourself a ghostly good time as you trick or treat your way through San Francisco’s California Academy of Sciences at night among spooktacular animals and spine-tingling specimens at SuperNatural Halloween.
