I wish I had had some October fun!" So get out there! Have some fun! Here are our Top Picks for activities this weekend to spur you into action! Saturday, October 8thHalloween and Vine, the famous juried art show (you have to be great even to be exhibited!) in Sonoma celebrates the Harvest, wine, and Halloween and is only happening today! If you're not quite ready to get a real pumpkin yet, head on out to Los Gatos and The Magical Glass Pumpkin Patch! More than 2,000 glass pumpkins will be for sale on the front lawn of Los Gatos High School. While you're in the South Bay you won't want to miss San Jose's Pumpkins in the Park. Fun includes a giant pumpkin patch, circus arts, Scarecrow Row, great food, and lots of free kid’s activities! It's Autumn at Filoli in Woodside! Take an old-fashioned hay ride through Filoli’s vast meadows and enjoy pumpkin carving, face painting, craft projects, and more! Sunday, October 9thAt the 1880s Harvest Fair at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton you can see award-winning scarecrows and make your own to take home, participate in pumpkin carving and take home a free pumpkin for the kids, and, of course, don't forget the train rides! The Alden Lane Fall Festival in Livermore features fine gourd art, an exhibit of gourd instruments, live demonstrations in creating gourd art, and more! It's the 10th Annual Harvest Day at the Farm at Nicasio Valley Farms! Select a pumpkin from the patch, take a hayride, plant seeds, spin wool, ride a pony, pet a sheep or goat or cow, and lots more - all in this quaint valley setting!
