Line standard (2 1/2 in.) muffin cups with paper liners or spray with nonstick cooking spray.Prepare cake and bake in muffin cups according to directions. Cool completely.Frost cupecakes and set aside.Separate 1/2 cup remaining frosting into small bowl and tint yellow. Tint remaining frosting purple.Spread each sugar cone with purple frosting, covering completely. Place 1 cone upside down on each frosted cupcake. Pipe yellow frosting around base of each frosted cone. Add sprinkles and decorate cones as desired with gel and assorted decorations.
