Three Bean Two Meat Chili

1/4 cup plive oil

2 lg. onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 lb. ground turkey

1 lb. ground beef chuck

1/4 cup chili powder

2 tbs. ground cumin

1 tbs. dried oregano

1 1/2 tsp. ground coriander

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tbs. grated lime zest

28 oz. canned Roma tomatoes, undrained

1 cup canned red kidney beans, undrained

1 cup canned black beans, undrained

1 cup canned white beans, undrained

Salt and pepper to taste

For garnish:

Shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Sour cream

Avocado, cubed

How to Prepare:

Over medium heat warm olive oil.

Add onions and saute for 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add turkey and beef and cook for 10 minutes.

Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, coriander, cayenne and lime zest and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, occasionally stirring for 1 hour.

Stir in beans and season to taste with salt and pepper.


Place Jack cheese, sour cream, avocado in separate bowls on table.
