Warm Blood Red Cabbage Slaw with Apples

1/2 lb. bacon, diced
2 tbs. balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup cranberry nectar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. grated orange zest|
3 cups shredded red cabbage
1 large red apple, unpeeled, cored and chopped
How to Prepare:|
Fry bacon and drain on paper towels. Drain all but 2 tbs. of bacon fat from pan.|
Add balsamic vinegar, cranberry nectar, celery seed and orange zest to pan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and add cabbage. Cook until cabbage wilts, about 4 minutes.
Add apple and bacon and cook for another minute, stirring the ingredients together.
